The company Beokran from Belgrade has expanded its vehicle fleet with a third PK superstructure featuring a Palfinger crane, installed on a Mercedes-Benz Arocs 2645 LK 6x4B. The model used is the Palfinger PK 53002 SH. A detachable cargo platform was designed for the Mercedes tractor unit, with internal dimensions of 3700x2480x500 mm.
The Palfinger PK 53002 SH crane is equipped with seven hydraulic extensions, providing a reach of 18.7 meters. The crane also features an additional articulating arm or “fly-jib” that can extend at a negative angle of 25° (upward). Additionally, the crane includes one extra mechanical extension on the crane itself and two mechanical extensions on the fly-jib, extending the total reach to 32.3 meters. Among its features, the crane includes the DPS Plus system, which increases lifting power when using the fly-jib.
The crane is also equipped with the AOS (Active Oscillation Suppression) system. In the event of a sudden release of the control, the crane does not stop abruptly but decelerates gradually to reduce vibrations and prevent damage to the load.
Further equipment includes a hydraulic winch with a lifting capacity of 2500 kg and a cable length of 80 meters. The crane is also fitted with the RTC (Rope Tension Control) system, which automatically maintains cable tension during winch operation, and the SRC (Synchronization Rope Control) system, which ensures a constant distance between the hook and pulley during crane operation.
In addition to the Palfinger crane, the truck is fitted with a detachable steel cargo bed with internal dimensions of 3700x2480x500 mm. The sides of the bed are made of aluminum and lined on the inside with tread-pattern aluminum sheeting. The cargo bed includes an extension option, allowing it to transport profiles up to 4700 mm in length.
