Another vehicle for the “tow-away service” has been delivered to Palfinger GmbH. The vehicle is equipped with a Palfinger PK 15500 T C crane and a PK hydraulic sliding platform HK 150-6.0, with a length of 6,000 mm. The equipment is mounted on a Mercedes-Benz Atego 1530L chassis.
The auxiliary frame is galvanized and bolted to the main chassis. The platform is coated with an anti-slip surface. At the rear of the platform, there are three mounting positions for a winch pulley. Aluminum tread plates are installed along the platform edges for protection.
Two individually operated hydraulic ramps, each measuring 1500×600 mm, are installed at the rear of the platform. Beneath the platform, two plastic storage boxes are fitted to hold additional ramps. A 5.1-ton hydraulic winch with a 25-meter steel cable is mounted at the front of the platform. Three work lights are installed on the platform, and the vehicle is equipped with a roof-mounted beacon and two LED flashers on the front bracket.
The Palfinger PK 15500 T crane is specifically designed for tow-away operations. It features four hydraulic extensions, offering a reach of up to 10 meters. The tow truck setup can be operated via manual controls or Hetronic radio remote control.
The crane is equipped with the HPSC (High Performance Stability Control) system, allowing it to operate in confined spaces without the need to fully extend the stabilizers. This feature is particularly useful for urban operations, where space is often limited.
