The company PK-Palfinger Kran delivered six forestry trucks with Palfinger cranes to the company Hrvatske Šume. Forestry upgrades were performed on three-axle MAN TGS 33.510 6×4 BL.
After four forestry compositions with Palfinger Epsilon cranes delivered five years ago, Hrvatske šume once again modernized its mechanization with Palfinger Epsilon cranes and forestry products from the range of PK doo. The company has been designing and producing its own truck upgrades and trailers for 30 years, increasing its network of authorized service centers and supporting its partners in terms of reliable and timely delivery of additional equipment and spare parts.
As many as six forestry compositions were delivered this summer to branches of Croatian Forests. This is a significant delivery, with which Hrvatske šume has strengthened its fleet with technologically cutting-edge forestry upgrades and trailers adapted to the most difficult forestry challenges.
The supplied Palfinger Epsilon M12Z83 cranes have a maximum reach of 8.3 m and are equipped with Epsilon FG53 log grabs. The SP160-6.2 forestry superstructures are designed without a floor with undercarriage protection with a useful length of 6200 mm. They are equipped with steel bearings with 4 pairs of ExTe D7 bunks and front and rear steel protective walls. A steel platform is mounted on the front part of the platform for storing the grab. The platform is equipped with two sets of tensioners with straps to secure the logs during transport.
The trailers are manufactured at the PK production facility. It is a PSM 200 model with a gross weight of 20 t, which has a loading area of 7,000 mm. The trailers are equipped with an INFO center with a scale for measuring the total weight of the trailer. The platform trailers have aluminum protection and are equipped with four legs with 4 pairs of aluminum telescopic ExTe D7 boards for transporting logs. The trailers weigh only 3,600 kg, which “leaves” them with 14,400 kg of useful load capacity for transporting logs.
