Strizivojna Hrast has received four complete PK forestry sets – truck-mounted forestry upgrades featuring Palfinger Epsilon cranes and PK trailers. The trucks are equipped with Epsilon M12Z83 cranes from the new NEXT EPSOLUTION series and 6200 mm-long open-frame platforms. Each truck is paired with a PK PSM 200 trailer, featuring a 7000 mm-long platform without a floor. The forestry bodies are mounted on MAN TGS 33.460 6×4 and Mercedes Arocs 2645 6×4 trucks.
The Palfinger Epsilon M12Z83 crane, offering an 8.3 m outreach, is equipped with a Palfinger FG53 grapple. The crane is operated from a high “Classic Drive” seat, featuring manual controls. For safe operation in nighttime conditions, two halogen work lights are installed on the seat and two on the crane’s auxiliary boom. The truck-mounted forestry upgrades include aluminum underbody protection and aluminum front walls. The platforms are fitted with ExTe D10 aluminum bolsters, each rated for 10 tons, and equipped with a grapple holder. Each truck also features four work lights — two at the front and two at the rear.
The trucks offer a payload capacity of 12000 kg.
The PSM 200 forestry trailers have a gross mass of 20 tons and 7000 mm-long platforms, with aluminum protection for the loading area and four pairs of ExTe D7 aluminum bolsters. The trailers are equipped with drum brakes and mechanical suspension.
Strizivojna Hrast is one of Croatia’s leading companies in the wood industry, specializing in the production and trade of timber. Founded in 1996 in the town of Strizivojna near Đakovo, the company generates over 90% of its revenue through exports. Privately owned and employing more than 460 people, Strizivojna Hrast mainly exports to Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Slovenia, and Sweden. Starting with sawn timber, the company has expanded into the production of wood elements, operates its own timber drying facilities, and offers custom sawing services for planks and battens. It also runs a parquet lamella production facility. An important milestone in their history is launching Croatia’s first cogeneration plant for producing electricity and thermal energy from wood biomass — a project aimed at sustainable energy production using resources from their own timber operations.
