Gradski Parking Skopje has received a new tow truck equipped with a Palfinger PK 13500T crane and a PK fixed platform, measuring 4500 mm in length. The complete setup is mounted on a Mercedes Atego 1221 chassis.

The installed Palfinger PK 13500T crane features three hydraulic extensions, lifting 1520 kg at an 8-meter outreach. Cranes marked with the “T” designation are specially designed for tow truck applications. They feature manual controls on both sides of the vehicle, providing better visibility when loading vehicles. Additionally, the crane is built with only the main boom, allowing for easier and closer loading onto the platform.

The crane is fitted with a rotator rated for 4500 kg, along with a PK hydraulic crossbar featuring three adjustable width positions, enabling use with vehicles of various sizes. In transport mode, the hydraulic crossbar fits within the platform’s width, allowing quick deployment when needed for loading and unloading. Hydraulic hoses for the rotator are equipped with quick couplings, making it easy to detach the rotator and install a hook for handling different types of loads.

The PK steel fixed platform offers a usable surface of 4500×2300 mm, covered with an anti-slip coating. Wheel chocks are placed on the platform and can be repositioned depending on the vehicle’s length. The platform also includes six work lights and a tool box for storing straps, wheel clamps, and the hydraulic crossbar during vehicle handling. A complete set of four wheel clamps is supplied with the platform.
Thanks to the two additional rear stabilizers, the vehicle offers excellent stability during operations. The Palfinger crane is equipped with the HPLS system (High Power Lifting System), enabling crane use in narrow city centers where deploying all four stabilizers 100% is not possible.
The vehicle’s payload capacity is 4000 kg, allowing it to transport a wide range of vehicles.
