PK-PALFINGER KRAN continues with its proven approach of developing “tailor made” products, i.e. developing the project task in accordance with the wishes and needs of the Customer. In doing so, premium quality materials and subassemblies are used, in accordance with the latest technical achievements.

In addition to being the general representative of PALFINGER hydraulic cranes and other PALFINGER Group products, for which we have been recognized in this region for a quarter of a century, the company PK-PALFINGER KRAN produces trailers and semi-trailers, and we are increasingly exporting a large part of our production to foreign markets. One of the products we are proud of is a semi-trailer for compacting and transferring municipal waste from transfer stations to waste management centers.

Dubai and the Gulf countries were looking for a new solution for waste disposal and were impressed by the technical solution we achieved for semi-trailers.

The entire construction solution, as well as the management system, were designed by our expert employees.

Hydraulic cylinders are made in the production facilities of the PALFINGER group, using the most modern technological solutions. The drive and autonomous operation of the semi-trailer is provided by a 44 kW diesel engine, and our company is particularly proud of the high compaction force that is constant along the entire length of the semi-trailer. The maximum load capacity is ensured by the use of special steels with increased strength and wear resistance.

In the production facility of the company PK – Palfinger Kran, we are currently producing semi-trailers with capacities of 53 m3 and 65 m3 for Dubai and the Sultanate of Oman. A special challenge was the behavior of all components at extremely high temperatures, which we successfully overcame in cooperation with partners from the Middle East. Our company’s designers have successfully solved two diametrically opposed requirements; the transport of dry, and therefore light, waste, which is extremely difficult to compact, where the low specific gravity calls into question the profitability of transport, and the transport of waste with a high proportion of liquids, where the problem of leachate needs to be solved.

The contract for the delivery of 51 semi-trailers for self-compaction of waste was concluded in 2016 with a business partner from Dubai. So far, 15 semi-trailers have been delivered, which are in operation and show excellent results, and the production of the next 20 pieces for the Sultanate of Oman is underway.
