A new Scania R 650 V8 with a Palfinger truck upgrade for special transport of municipal containers has been delivered to the company Transport Buterin doo from Zadar. The Buterin family has been in the transport business since the 1980s, and since 2018 their other company Eko Recens doo has been involved in the processing and disposal of non-hazardous waste.
The new Scania has a special meaning for the Buterin family. The complete vehicle, truck and body, is unique and one-of-a-kind in appearance and equipment. The family made the effort to honor the late Jakov Buterin, who unfortunately left them too soon this year. His passion for trucks led the Buterin family to order and customize the complete vehicle, which is dedicated to Jakov.
The company Transport Buterin doo has taken delivery of a unique truck for this purpose in Croatia. It is a fully equipped new Scania R 650 V8 with a second lifting and swiveling axle and numerous other features that will make it stand out on the roads: a camera on the cabin, work lights on the cabin and at the end of the chassis, a sleeping cabin; a chassis with side spoilers from the tractor, fender mounts and fuel tanks – all in red, a sunroof, as well as an electric cab lift, Durabright alloy wheels, Opticruise gearbox…
The truck is equipped with a Palfinger PST 14 TEC 3 container skiploader with a capacity of 14 t. The Palfinger lifter can transport containers with a length of 3000 to 4500 mm, and due to its design, the width can be up to 2000 mm. The lifter is operated via radio control and external alternative manual control. The lifter has a front mechanical and longitudinal hydraulic locking, which secures the container during transport.
