Last week, the PK-Palfinger Kran company sponsored the WorldSkills Croatia 2024 event. It is a national competition for vocational school students, where as many as 374 students competed in 42 disciplines, which took place from 13 to 15 May in as many as 5 pavilions on more than 14,000 m2 of the Zagreb Fair. At the event, we saw, for example, the best hairdressers, beauticians, physiotherapists, bricklayers, receptionists, veterinarians, but also companies of interested students of mechatronics, mechanical engineering and CNC/CAD specialists. The company provided practical prizes for the three disciplines, which were a real treat for the students.

In addition to the above, the PK team presented the company and the opportunities for education and employment in the company. The most attention was attracted by the VR simulator that simulates the operation of a Palfinger crane in several scenarios. The VR simulator was a hit at the event and many students and professor-mentors tried their skills in operating a crane.

The event was organized by the Agency for Vocational Education and Adult Education and, in addition to student participants, gathered over 10,000 visitors, mainly final year students of elementary schools and accompanying high school students, who circulated through the Zagreb Fair during the three days of the fair.
